Is your band ready to explore paid performance?

 

Marsh Street Rocks is developing MSR Show Time, a program that offers local bands the opportunity to launch their stage careers.

Show Time

The next step in developing music skills is to get on stage and play. It's Show Time.

We're offering new bands an opportunity to launch their stage career

Participating bands each receive:

Each participating band will receive:

  • A 90-minute performance coaching session

  • A 90-minute coached stage rehearsal

  • A concert evening along with two other bands in front of an audience in the Marsh Street Centre Auditorium

  • A 40-minute set of their music

  • A performance fee of $500

Qualifications:

  • Existing bands that want to be more than novices on stage

  • Have played fewer than 5 concerts in front of an audience 

  • All members over 15-years of age with equal consideration for young and old

    • Parental approval required from persons under the age of 16​

  • MSR Alumnus a benefit, but not mandatory to participate

Auditions and Coaching

Auditions:

Auditions will be held at the Marsh Street Centre in Clarksburg.

Three bands will be selected to play in the concert at the Marsh. Dates TBD.
 

Coaching: 
The bands will receive coaching for 2 sessions prior to the concert, one focusing on music choices and the second session focused on the performance.

 

Coaching provided by Marsh Street Rocks maestro and veteran performer Craig Smith

Applicants should email Graham Binks at graham.binks@marshstreetcentre.com for registration and scheduling,

Provide a short biography which sums up the band members, instruments played and some background information on the music. Include whether you play original and/ or cover music.
 

Show Time Concert:


Concert will be held in 2026. date TBD.

 

Bands are encouraged to recruit family and friends to join the audience and make for a great celebration of local musicians.
