About the event

In honour of International Women's Day, we're presenting "Lead Like Her" a series of informative and interesting presentations about Women who've lead non-traditional roles in their careers. Join us and enjoy!

At this event, we welcome Deanna Brasseur - Canada's first female fighter pilot.

Dee Brasseur joined the Canadian Forces in 1972 and became one of the first three women to earn pilot wings in 1981, later breaking multiple barriers as Canada’s first female jet pilot instructor, flight commander, fighter pilot, and military aircraft accident investigator. After flying the CF-18 Hornet and serving in senior oversight roles for Canada’s jet and fighter fleets, she retired early to build a successful leadership and performance coaching business and to lead Canada’s first all-female precision flying team. Her pioneering contributions to aviation were formally recognized with her induction into the Order of Canada in 1999.
