About the event
Blue Mountain Makers - Group Workshops
This frame basket is a great first basket to try. We will form round frames from fresh local willow or dogwood, add ribs and then weave willow in and out. As a harvest basket you can rinse your freshly-picked vegetables or herbs right in the basket like a colander. Its shape and size (approximately 15″ in diameter) makes a beautiful centrepiece too!
Andrea Matrosovs is a basket weaver, workshop instructor & smallholder growing basket willows, dogwood, lavender & heirloom apples. She is a Craft Professional with Craft Ontario, a member of the Clarksburg-Artsburg community & a member of the Grey County Local of the National Farmers Union.
